History

The initial stages of GRAFOPACK go back to the beginning of the 20th century, when there was a small company dedicated to typography, located in Igualada downtown, which covered the needs of the city and its surroundings. In 1967 Gráficas Florensa was founded.
It was the company predecessor of the current Grafopack, yet aspiring to reach quite ambitious technological and commercial targets: it went straight to the Offset technology, became much more industrialized, widened the geographic field of influence and aimed at the packaging world.
The company under the name of Gráficas Florensa had a steady growth, and in 1976 moved to the outskirts of Igualada, in the Odena's municipal district, where GRAFOPACK is still located nowadays.
Immediately after the move of the facility, and with the aim to keep on growing, the Valls family known for their ownership of several textile business and brands (such as Punto Blanco) got into Graficas Florensa as new shareholder. In 1977, Gráficas Florensa changed name to GRAFOPACK, S.A. and soon after the Valls family acquired 100% of the shares.
Up to now the evolution of the company could be summarized as gone forward the Customer Service, Innovation and Growth.
The capital assets have rise up and been continuously modernized. The human capital has grown to currently become highly professionalized. The company has managed to lead several markets such us that of high quality packaging for food and beverage, and has entered with strength the Point of Sale displays arena. At the moment Grafopack integrates all the production processes with the clear objective of ensuring our customers top quality products and service.
